GLORY
TO GLORY
MEMORISE:
‘And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge,
that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God’.
(Eph 3: 19)
READ:
2 Cor 3: 17-18
Sanctified people experience the joy of answered prayers. When
the one who answers prays is your close friend, you can be assured
that all your request will be granted before you even ask.
‘Ye
have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you,
that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit
should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the father in
my name, he may give it you’ (John 15:16).
Nothing
can block the prayers of the sanctified. Psalm 34: 17 assures
us that God will move in to deliver his favourites when he hears
their cries. Many prayers are not answered, because sin blocks
their way. Sanctified people live in such close fellowship with
the King of kings that his goals and desires have become their
goals and desires. The same things that make Jesus happy, make
them happy; the same things that make Jesus sad, make them sad.
Jesus
wants his Father to be glorified in everything. The sanctified
believer’s biggest desire is to see that Jesus is glorified.
So before they open their mouths to ask, their requests are
not only granted in heaven, but the results are released. To
what extent have you become one with the Lord? Are his desires
your desires? Is your greatest desire to glorify his name in
every facet of your life?
The
sanctified also enjoys the privilege of communion; being in
his presence. Feelings of refreshment, reassurance, empowerment,
security and never-ending security overpower us when we are
in his presence. Peter, James and John once had the opportunity
to see Jesus in all his glory, and they were totally overcome.
They did not want to leave his presence. According to 2 Corinthians
3: 18, the more we stay in his presence the more like him we
will become until he changes us from glory to glory. Do you
spend time in his presence or do you always rush out?
