THE GOLDEN EAGLE
MEMORISE:
‘Beloved I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper
and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.’ (3 John
2)
READ: Psalm
1: 1-3
The golden Eagle is another type
of eagle. Gold symbolizes prosperity. The Golden Eagle is prosperous
because he has all the food he requires, in abundance. All he
does is select what to eat each day. As a Golden Eagle, God wants
you to prosper. Psalm 35: 27 says God delights in the prosperity
of his servants. Do not tell me I have to be poor as a servant
of God. God has already made provision for you to be rich. Shun
and reject proverty in all its entirely.
‘Beloved I wish above all
things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy
soul prospereth’ (3 John 2).
God wants you to prosper. It is
his delight. As a servant of God, you represent and bear his Name.
If you prosper, it will bring glory to his Name because many people
will then want to serve the God you serve, so that they too can
prosper. This means that your prosperity can become a strong evangelical
tool.
On the other hand, if you are
poor and beggarly, you bring shame and disgrace of God. Many people
look down on the poor. Even when you preach, some people may not
want to hear. They will tell you if God can bless and prosper
those who serve him, they want to see it first in your life.
An eagle is an eagle. Whether
it is Royal or Golden. You should be wealthy. A king who is poor
will be despised and humiliated. Ecclesiastes 7: 12 says money,
like wisdom, is a defence. So you must be rich, for God has made
you king. You cannot afford to be poor. Stand up for your rights
and possess your possessions.
ACTION
POINT
Refuse to be poor! Ask God to destroy, from its root, any
anti-prosperity element in your mind and being. |
