2 Pet 1 - 3
PROTECT YOUR HEAD
MEMORISE:
'But I would have you know, that the head Of every man is Christ;
and the head of the woman is the man; And the head of Christ
is God.' (1 Cor 11:3).
READ: 1 Corinthians 11:3-4
The enemy knows the vale of your head. Other
parts of your body can be replaced miraculously or by surgical
operation but when your head is off, that is the end of the
story. The head has distinct features, which are of spiritual
significance. The eyes are for vision. Without vision, the people
perish (Prov 28:18). The first thing Samson's enemies did after
capturing him was to pluck out his eyes. Do not allow your eyes
to stop looking at Jesus. 'Looking unto Jesus the author and
finisher of our faith' (Heb 12:2-3). Peter once took his eyes
from the Lord during a storm and as he did so, he began to sink.
Where is your gaze today? Are you focusing on Jesus or on your
problems?
Ears are for hearing from God. God speaks to
his children to lead, warn or instruct them in what to do. Without
hearing from God, you cannot know the right steps to take, for
faith comes by hearing from God, and'… man shall not live
by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from God shall
he live.' How sensitive are you to the voice of the spirit?
The tongue is meant to confess your way in to
salvation, healing, deliverance and prosperity (Rom 10:10).
Jesus says you will have what you say. What do you say about
yourself, family, work and ministry? Begin to confess the right
things over yourself. Say, 'I will make it in Jesus' Name.'
'My end shall be better than my beginning.' Speak out what you
desire to happen to you. Satan will attempt to stop you from
calling on the Name of Jesus, as that will bring you salvation.
Some people shout the names of their parents or husband when
in trouble but that cannot help them. Whose name do you call
when you're in trouble?
Your head is the symbol of your God. 'But I
would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and
the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is
God' (1 Cor 11:3). Satan intends to separate you from Christ.
He will succeed if you allow sin into your life. That is why
you must protect your salvation jealously and ensure your link
with Christ is intact all the time. As long as you remain in
Christ, nothing can break you away from him. Stick to Christ
today!
