HEAVENLY EUNUCHS

An eunuch is a man who has been castrated. To castrate someone is to remove his tesicles and render him incapable of producing children. There are different classes of eunuchs on earth. In bible days, eunuchs were largely employed in palaces to take care of women. For instance, Esther 1:10 tells us king Ahasuerus had seven chamberlains who served before him. These were eunuchs. We are also told of Hegai, the keeper of the virgins, who also looked after Esther and prepared her for the contest.

It was usual those days to have such eunuchs in the palaces. As a result of their castration, they were freely allowed to mingle with the queen, the other wives and concubines of the king as well as the princesses. The fact that they had been castrated removed every element of fear in the king. Some eunuchs rose to high levels of authority in the kingdoms where they were. An example is the Ethiopian eunuch, who was the treasurer of Queen Candace of Ethiopia (Acts 8:27). This class of eunuchs is the one Jesus says is made by men.

Another class of eunuchs are those who were born that way. This could have been due to some biological malfunction in childhood development. The third class covers those who make themselves eunuchs because of heaven. When a gigolo (a very active fornicator) becomes born again and stops going out with girls, his friends will say he has become a eunuch. They are right. He has made himself a eunuch for the sake of heaven.

You can leave a eunuch alone with ladies without batting an eyelid. God cannot trust some brothers because of their uncontrolled sexual desires. If he makes them pastors, they might seduce the single sisters. What is hindering God from giving greater responsibilities to you? Those things should be castrated. Eunuchs usually rose in kingdoms where they served because they were trusted. The level of trust God will give to you is dependent on the degree of spiritual castration that you have undergone. You can really climb up to have power with God, like Jacob, but you must be willing to pay the price.

Ask God to take control of your body, so that you will yield only to him,
Rather than to lust and to the desires of the flesh.
