Topic: Satanic Manipulation
Text: Genesis 3:1-7

Your Christian life or falls on your attitude to the word of God. Our subject of discussion today is satanic manipulation. Let me state this at the outset of today’s devotional study: satanic manipulation cannot thrive in you life if you will always hold on to “what thus said the Lord”.

The word of God is forever settled, according to Psalms 119:89 “For ever, O LORD, thy word I settled in Heaven.” By the stripe of Jesus Christ you have been healed. The comfort of Satan to the barren is that she should accept her situation. He would say she would have children in heaven if she does not have on earth. That is a lie from the pit of hell. Do people get married in heaven? The word of God tells us to multiply and replenish the earth. This is forever settled. This is the truth. The state of barrenness is not from God but from Satan. The word of God tells me that Jesus Christ has come to destroy the works of Satan.

Do not believe Satan’s lies. He is the prince of manipulators. He would try to steal the truth from the altar of your heart. Our text reveals how he cornered Eve. She made a great mistake by answering Satan’s question, in Genesis 3:2-3, “And the woman said unto the serpent, we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.” God did not say they should not touch the tree. When Satan knows that you do not know the word of God thoroughly, he would trick you. When he twists God’s words you are likely to add more confusion to it yourself. Why should you even touch what you are not supposed to eat? Eve said they were told to neither eat nor touch the fruit so that they might not die.

We have to be very careful. If Satan can bring doubts into our minds, he would get us. We should be able to stand on every word that comes from God. He said we should be holy as He is holy. Do not let Satan ask you whether a man can be as holy as God is. If it were not possible to be as holy as God is, God would not ask us to be as holy as He is. He who has commanded us to be holy will grant us the needed grace. This is why He has given us Jesus Christ. This is why we can say that we can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens us.

Memory Verse: James 4:7 - “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
