Topic:
Instant Miracles
Text: Isaiah 1:2-13
The
problem of unanswered prayers has baffled many people. So also
is the problem of delayed answers to prayers. It is indeed true
that hope deferred makes the heartsick. Satan, the accuser of
the brethren, has continued to use the weapon of discouragement
to wreck the ship of many heaven-bound pilgrims. If you have discovered
that God’s promises seem not to be working for you, you
must examine yourself and detect areas in which you are not praying
aright. After all, in Hebrews 13:8, the Bible says, “Jesus
Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever,” Malachi
3:6 says, “For I am the LORD, I change not, therefore ye
sons of Jacob are not consumed.” 2 Corinthians 1:20 says.
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto
the glory of God by us.”
If God does not change and all His promises are yea and amen,
how come that some promises made to some of us have not manifested?
One thing we should note is that prayers do not change God. If
He is the same yesterday, today and forever, it follows that before
you prayed, He was God. While you were praying, He was God. After
you finished praying, He is still God. Why then do we bother ourselves
to pray? Almost invariably, it is through prayer that we ourselves
become changed. Many a time, what God wants to do is already settled.
All that He is waiting for is for us to tune to the correct frequency.
I am confident that your miracle is hanging around somewhere waiting
for you to pick it up. Joshua fell on his face before the Almighty
God, in Joshua 7, to remind God about His promises that no man
would be able to stand before him. God heard him. If you stand
on God’s promises you will receive instant miracles.
Memory Verse: Isaiah 59:2 - “But your iniquities have separated
between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from
you, that he will not hear.”
