Known Unto God
Text: Isaiah 49:1-10
God
is Sovereign. He has the final say in all matters. When God told
an angel to bring the corpse of Moses, Satan opposed this, laying
claim to the corpse. The angel simply reported Satan to the Highest
Authority, and this settled the matter (Jude 9). Whenever someone
wants to stand in my way, I report the fellow to the Most High.
In
Daniel 4:35, we discover that God is the Sovereign One. “And
all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he
doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the
inhabitants of the earth. And none can stay his hand, or say unto
him, what doest thou?” God is the Only One who does what
pleases Him.
Nobody
can challenge His actions. This brings some major things into
focus. First, if it seems as if He is promoting someone above
you, you cannot challenge this and all you can do is accept His
decision and never grumble. He is God and there is none like Him
or beside Him. He has settled everything before the beginning
of the world. He declares the right from the beginning. Second,
whatever may be happening to you is what He has already planned
for your life.
What
is happening to your neighbour is what He has already planned
for him or her. But if, rather than accepting His decisions in
all matters, you seek to question His authority, you may be asking
for trouble. When God has made up His mind on what you will become,
whether the devil likes it or not, it will be so. He would do
all His wishes.
God
does not take orders from anyone. The Bible says: the pleasure
of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
Memory Verse: Exodus 3:14 - “And God said unto Moses, I
AM THAT I AM; and he said, this shalt thou say unto the children
of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.”
