Topic: The Coming Revival
Text: John 15:1-7
READ THROUGH THE BIBLE IN A YEAR
Songs of Solomon 1-4

A new wave of revival is coming. God is going to do a new thing. He will visit out nation in an unprecedented manner. A revival of repentance will soon be unleashed on our land. We are going to see more souls saved than has even been witnessed in any generation. There will come a time when, for instance, student union leaders will be tongue-talking Christians. At that time, there will be no external influences causing trouble on our university campus. Violent demonstrations will cease. That is why the devil will not stop attacking us. There are several implications if evil forces fail to wrestle with us.

Firstly, if they fail to wrestle with us, it means we are no longer a threat to them. Secondly, it may mean that we have just won a resounding victory, for which they have decided to avoid us for a while. It may also mean that we have joined forces with them or that we are no longer doing what God commanded us to do. For instance, when we stop winning souls, the enemy will cease seeing us as a threat. To stop winning souls is the easiest way to backslide. The moment you stop bearing fruits, God will tear you off the kingdom.

This is made clear in the Scriptures: “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abides not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. We need a kind of power that no one can hold or block. We need a revival. This was the kind of power, which men of old possessed.

For example, Samson was bound and taken to the Philistines. The power of God came upon him and the yoke was broken (Judges 15:14). This is the sort of power you cannot bind. This same Samson went to a town and the gates were shut against him. The soldiers could not hold him; He had a power that nobody could hold. When he got to the gate, he shook it and lifted it up. He carried the gate to a mountaintop and dropped it (Judges 16:1-3). There is a power that the devil cannot hold. Do you have this kind of power?

Memory Verse: John 15:4 - “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”
