Topic:
Territorial Spirit
Text: Daniel 10:10-13
The
kingdom of darkness is well-organized one. The devil has appointed
territorial spirits over communities, nations and continents.
There is a demon overseeing every country. All the governments
put in place are controlled by his demon. This is clearly highlighted
in out text. We are facing a two-pronged attack: political and
ecclesiastical. The enemies of the gospel have tremendous resources
at their disposal. They have economic power. The government controls
the economy, the police the army. The enemy would do everything
possible to hinder the advancement of the Kingdom of God on earth.
We
cannot afford to trifle with the fortunes of the Kingdom. We cannot
afford to be weak spiritually. How are we going to defeat these
forces that have both economic and political power? How are we
going to defeat our Goliath with an ordinary sling and a stone?
We all pray that our nation must be saved. Are we going to do
it with five minute prayers? We have to take the whole world for
Jesus, including predominantly Islamic nations. Obviously, we
cannot do this by joking. We are the people that God will use.
It is unreasonable for us to go about chasing rats where are lions
and elephants to be conquered. II Timothy 2:3 says: “No
man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life;
that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.”
There is no room for fooling around when talking about winning
the nations of the world for Christ. I know God will use me. In
fact, there is no going back. It is too late for any of us to
go back. If you are afraid, you can step aside.
You
must remember Gideon’s army in the Book of Judges. God told
Gideon to tell those who were afraid to go back. 22,000 men beat
a retreat. God said even the remainder were too many. Only 300
men won the battle. We must stand and face the enemy. We are sure
of victory. Tell God that you are ready so that He will empower
you to go along with Him. Ask Him to give you the anointing to
deal with territorial spirit.
Memory Verse: I Timothy 2:3 - “For this is good and acceptable
in the sight of God our Saviour.”
