64 - 66
Topic:
The Garment
Text: Leviticus 11:43-47
If
you can live in a way that makes you dwell in the presence of
the Lord forever, you have nothing to fear anymore. When trouble
comes, God will hide you in his inner room until the war or battle
is over. You will become untouchable and will find yourself always
above your enemies. Even if the devil should gather all his hosts
against you alone, you will only be singing praises to God because
they will not be able to reach you. God wants you to wear Him
as Armour. He wants to be your light and Salvation so that there
will be nothing to fear day or night.
Psalms
118:6 says: “The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what
can man do unto me?” If you are sure that the Lord is on
your side, then there is nothing to fear. However, how can you
have the Lord on your side when you commit adultery, steal or
commit any other sin? Proverbs 3:1-2 says: “My son, forget
not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments; for length
of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.”
Also
Proverbs 3:21-26 says, “My son, let not them depart from
thine eyes; keep sound wisdom and discretion: so shall they be
life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck. Then shall thou walk
in the way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. When thou liest
down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and
thy sleep shall be sweet. Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither
of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. For the LORD
shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.”
If you live holy, you can sleep like a baby. There will be nothing
that wizards and wishes can do to you. If you want to trample
upon a poisonous serpent, you must put on hard shoes. If you should
temple on a serpent’s head with bare feet, you risk being
hurt in the process.
In
the same manner, you must make sure that you wear the LORD as
a garment, day and night, to be able to face the devil. If you
delight in obeying the Lord, you will be eternally secure, provided
you are holy. Remember, holiness makes you the apple of God’s
eye. Keep on pursuing holiness as this will keep you close to
the Father’s heart.
