Topic:
A Swift Change
Text: Number 3:11-14
If
God decides to shift His focus on you, you will experience a swift
change. A divine visitation always comes with far-reaching changes.
When God decides to visit you, He changes everything until your
neighbours will begin to marvel. David is an example of what it
means to experience a divine visitation.
I
Samuel 16:1 tells us that David was chosen and singled out for
a breakthrough. “And the LORD said unto Samuel, how long
will thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning
over Israel? Fill thine horn with oil, and go; I will send thee
to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provide me a king among
his sons.” David woke up as a shepherd boy in the morning,
and by evening, he had become a king. Daniel, Shadrack and Meshach
and Abednego are also good examples.
Daniel
1:3-7 tells us that they were taken into Babylon as slaves. However,
God decided that they would have a breakthrough. The king chose
them to become part of the team or group of wise men. They became
special even though they refused to eat the king’s wine.
God used the dream of the king and its interpretation to promote
Daniel. The king prostrate before Daniel. Whenever you are, whatever
the situation, when the Almighty God decides to give you a breakthrough,
your miracle is sure to reach you there. Elijah was also singled
out for a breakthrough.
In
I Kings 18:22, Elijah thought that he was the only prophet of
the Lord left but he was wrong, because God had hidden 7,000 prophets
elsewhere. There were thousands of prophets around but God singled
out Elijah as a special vessel. He had a breakthrough and, on
the day he prayed, fire fell. I wonder what you may be passing
through today, but I wish to leave you with this promise: “Shall
the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall
be taken way, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered:
for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will
save thy children” (Isaiah 49:24-25).
Memory Verse: Isaiah 61:9 - “And their seed shall be known
among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people; all
that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed.”
