Topic: Blinded
Text: Hebrews 9:11-28

There is a very wide gap between the company of the ungodly and that of the godly. Evil and good do not mix. If you keep the company of the blind you will become blind sooner or latter. Therefore, you must not veer into the camp of the ungodly. Those who love God and are ready to keep His commandments generally have great peace. If you are obedient to God you will have peace like a river (Isaiah 48:18). You will have overflowing peace. For the ungodly the reverse is the case.

The Bible says in II Cor. 4:3-4, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” The minds of unbelievers have been blinded. Their conscience is dead. A man with a dead conscience can do any havoc. Steer clear from any man whose conscience is dead. Anybody who is not a believer is lustful. When an unbeliever says he loves you, what he is saying is that he wants to defile you.

The Bible says, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the Kingdom of God.” (I Cor. 6:9-10). All the above titles belong to unbelievers. They are fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, thieves, covetous, drunkards and cheats. How can you befriend such people? How can you go ahead and many such a fellow? How can you enter into business partnership with such a fellow? It is dangerous thing to team up with the devil. The Bible says an unbeliever is an enemy of God. This is in Romans 8:7-8 “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” How can you team up with the child of the enemy of your only friend? If you do this, your only Friend will become your enemy too and you will be in trouble. I am ready to fight the whole world, provided Jesus Christ is behind me. If Jesus turns against anyone, I wonder who will ever deliver the fellow. An unbeliever is a child of wrath. How can you befriend somebody whom God is angry with? What happens when the anger of God comes? Therefore, you must avoid the company of those who are strangers to the commonwealth of the redeemed.

Memory Verse: LUKE 13:30 - “And behold there are last which shall be first and there are first which shall be last.”
