Romans 9 - 11
Topic:Give
Thanks
Text: Psalms 48:1-5
Do
you have a grateful heart? Do you always thank God for all that
He has done for you? In every situation there is always something
to thank God for. In the story of the widow of Zarepath, in I
Kings 17:8-16, she had at least one meal left. Also, in the story
of the widow in II Kings 4:1-7, after she had said she had nothing
at home, she later discovered that there was a bottle of oil.
In the case of Bartmaeus, in Mark 10:46-52, he had a loud voice.
He was a beggar who had something to thank God for.
Whatever
may be your situation, you have, at least, one thing to thank
God for. Are you hopeless? Jesus is alive. The fact that God is
alive should imbue you with hope. Jesus said, in John 14:19, that
because He lives, we will live also. Because Jesus Christ lives,
I will live also. When there is life, there is hope. Because Jesus
Christ lives, I will live also. When there is life, there is hope.
Because Jesus Christ lives, I can face tomorrow. Because Jesus
Christ lives, I know that my tomorrow will be all right.
In
John 16:33, Jesus Christ said that in this world there would be
tribulations but that we should be of good cheer because He had
overcome the world. The word of God says, in Romans 8:37, that
in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him that
loves us. Because we have Jesus, we shall overcome. It does not
matter what the situation may look like now, your testimony will
come soon. The moment you begin to appreciate and thank God for
what He has done for you, you will be enlisted spiritually to
believe God for your present needs.
No
situation is so bad that God cannot change for good. Don’t
allow what you may be going through today to make you write off.
Do not limit your self. You can identify your possibilities and
turn your weaknesses into strength.
Memory Verse: Philippians 3:12 - “Not as though I had already
attained, either were already perfect; but I follow after, if
that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ
Jesus.”
