Ezekiel 40 - 42
Topic:
Unto The Hills
Text: Psalms 121:1-8
Your
source of help will go a long way in determining how you face
variours circumstances of life and whether you will be victorious
of not. Today let me ask you: where does your help come from?
Is it beneath or above?
In
Psalms 121:1-2, the Bible says: “I will lift up mine eyes
unto the hills, from whence cometh my help? My help cometh from
the LORD, which made heaven and earth.” Who do you turn
to at the time of trouble? Some people turn to God plus something
else: the holy water! Others turn to witch doctors. However, the
Bible says the sorrow of those who run after other gods shall
be multiplied.
In
Jeremiah 17:5-6, the Bible says: “Thus said the LORD, cursed
be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and
whose heart departeth from the LORD. For he shall be like the
heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall
inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt and not
inhabited.” When you put your trust in man, no matter who
he is, you put a curse on your head. God is available for you
at anytime. You can call on Him anytime and He will answer you.
Whenever
we are faced with a problem, we should go back to the One who
has been helping at the time of need. When David was brought to
Saul and said the he would face Goliath, part of his assurance
was drawn from the fact that God had helped him when he faced
a bear and a lion. He trusted God to help him against Goliath.
God is the only One who cannot disappoint you. He has all the
resources you will ever need throughout your existence.
He
is ever ready to supply all your needs. Recall how He has met
your needs in the past and trust Him for your present needs. He
is Jehovah El-Shaddai. He is ever faithful, ever true.
Memory Verse: Psalms 121:1 - “I will life up mine eyes unto
the hills, from whence cometh my help.”
