Lamentations 1 - 5
Topic:
Human Reasoning
Text: Proverbs 8:1-15
Human
reasoning can never fathom the depths of the Almighty. No matter
what you know. God’s ways are past finding out. If you base
your decisions on human reasoning you will miss out on the will
of God.
If
you want to receive divine blessings you must follow divine guidance.
You cannot figure out God with your little brain. Stop trying
to imagine how miracles would happen. The ways of God are not
our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:5-9).
He
performs miracles in a manner than baffles human ingenuity. God
works in mysterious ways. When human beings say there is no way
the Almighty God comes up with thousands. If you are wondering
how God will bring out your miracle you might get confused. Miracles
defy logic. Miracles are God’s business. Do not try to teach
Him His business. Do not be like Naaman who described how he thought
God would heal him through Elisha. I do not want to know how God
intends to solve my problem; all I want is a breakthrough. It
is not my duty to help God.
The
Bible tells us in I Corinthians 1:25 that the foolishness of God
is wiser than the wisdom of men. The wisest of us cannot come
anywhere near whatever me may call the foolishness of God. The
ways of God are beyond comprehension. The ways of God are contrary
to the ways of men. For example, the Bible says we should give
so as to receive. This does not make any sense but it is the way
of God. Proverbs 1:24-25 says when you scatter you will increase
and if you withhold, you will diminish.
In
Matthew 23:11-12, Jesus Christ said if you want to be the greatest
you must be the servant of all. We generally believe that it is
the great one that should be served by all. This is however not
the way of God. God’s method will always run in sharp contrast
to human reasoning. Your expectations may appear unfulfilled today
but you do not know how God will bestow your needed miracles on
you. Do not rely on your wisdom.
Let
God have His way in your life. He will not fail you. At the end
you will discover that God’s ways are the best.
Memory Verse: John 14:1 - “Let not your heart be troubled:
ye believed in God, believe also in me.”
