WHOSE REPORT?
MEMORISE:
‘Who hath believed our report? And to whom is the arm of
the LORD revealed? (Isa 53: 1)
READ:
Psalms 89: 34- 37
In Science we are taught to respect
what those who are trained in particular areas have to say about
their fields. These are the specialists and they assess things
based on their training and experience and thereafter draw conclusions.
That is why a doctor is an authority in his field and his views
are respected as far as medical science is concerned. So also
are other professionals. A conflict comes in when we compare the
opinions and recommendations of these specialists with what Almighty
God has said. The result depends on whose report you believe.
When Samaria was under siege, Elisha said that in 24 hours there
would be so much abundance that foodstuff would become very cheap.
The king’s economic adviser analyzed all the economic indices
and gave an expert verdict that this would not be. But his word
submitted to God’s Word.
The adviser did not believe, so
when others were going to have their share, he died in the stampede.
Be careful what you believe and say, because this will determine
the result you get. Which report do you believe? When Moses went
before Pharoah and turned his rod into a serpent, the magicians
of Egypt did the same. The difference was that Moses’ rod
swallowed those of the magicians.
Deuteronomy 28: 1-14 clearly spells
out some of the Lord’s report for you. It says you will
have all round blessings, prosperity, fruitfulness and victory
over enemies, promotions and health. When God gives you his report,
simply say ‘Amen’. Do not bother to try to figure
it out. Any other report, say sickness, poverty, retrogression
that any specialist gives you, contradicts God’s report.
And you can be sure if you believe God’s report, the negative
report of specialists will bow down to what God has said about
you
Have faith in God. Confess what
God has said about that negative situation after handing it over
to him. If doctors tell you it is impossible, tell yourself,’…but
not with my God, for with my God; all things are possible.’
God says it is well with you. Shun any contrary voice and shut
it up. God’s Word will be fulfilled if you believe.
ACTION
POINT
Reject every negative report given to you in Jesus’
Name.
Begin to confess what God says about you in every area of your
life. |
