BEHAVE WISELY
MEMORISE:
‘And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways: and
the LORD was with him. Wherefore when Saul was that he behaved
himself very wisely, he was afraid of him.’ (Sam 14: 15)
READ:
1 Samuel 18: 12 – 26
‘And
David behaved himself wisely I all his ways: and the LORD was
with him. Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very
wisely, he was afraid of him” (1 Sam 18:14- 15). In life,
you need wisdom to relate to your fellow men. This is even more
the case if you have a king Saul as your boss. Some Christians
complain bitterly about their leaders and how they are being
maltreated. It is simple: if your leader is like Saul, always
hunting for an opportunity to humiliate you, or even wanting
you dead, you can still relate to him with wisdom.
‘Wisdom
is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy
getting get understanding’ (Prov 4:7). Despite all the
cunning, evil schemes and traps set for David, with wisdom David
escaped and beat king Saul at his own game, which made him afraid
of David. With wisdom, your enemies will be made to bow down
to you. With wisdom, you can access prosperity, good health
and long life and everything you touch will turn to gold. But
what is wisdom and how can you get it?
‘The
fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding
have all they that do hi commandments: his praise endureth forever’
(Ps 111:10). Christ is the wisdom of God (1 Cor 1: 24). Solomon
says in all your getting, get wisdom, which means that today,
irrespective of what you are acquiring, you have not wisdom
until you acquire Jesus. He can do anything for you. Also wisdom
is the correct application of knowledge. That means when you
are traveling on a road and you come across a signboard that
reads death trap, you will either look for an alternative route
or move very slowly an carefully.
To
apply wisdom, first acquire knowledge of God’s Work. Know
the criteria required for God to bless you. Then take deliberate
steps to keep to the Word and being to expect the results the
Scriptures have spelt our. That is wisdom. God, for example,
inhabits the praise of his people. So if you feel him afar off,
put your knowledge into play: begin to praise and worship him.
Before long, you will feel his presence. That’s wisdom.
Begin to act in wisdom from today!.

‘king Saul’ in your life until they become afraid
of you.
