USING GOD?

MEMORISE: ‘Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it, except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.’ (Ps 127:1)
READ: Matthew 7: 21-23

A singer once sang a song. ‘How do you treat God, how do you treat God? Like a GOD or DOG? This is an important question for every one of us to answer. The letter GOD when reversed, spell DOG. Many people relate to God as someone they should send on errands, or a tool they can use to obtain results. How do you relate to God? ‘Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; consider your ways. Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes’ (Hag 1: 5-6).

When you begin to use God, God will begin to fight against you. God is the one who makes everything, natural or spiritual, work as he had programmed it to; which means that if he removes his hand, when you eat food, you will not derive the supposed vitamins and nutrients it should give your body. When you clothe take stock, you find that the wealth is disappearing mysteriously through unseen holes. As you still ready to use God?

‘Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it, except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain (Ps 127:1). Some Christians today are not interested in walking righteously before God. All they are interested in is using the Name of Jesus to perform miracles. Of course situations respond to the Name, and miracles will flow, but eventually these people will b told: ‘Depart from me ye workers of iniquity for I know you not.’ How do you deal with God? Do you pray to God only when there is a problem? Are you using God like a fan on ma hot day? Examine your ways and change. Develop a right relationship with God today. Submit totally to his infinite majesty and accord him his rightful position, as Lord o your life. You will live to reap the dividends.
