CIRCUMCISED!
MEMORISE:
‘Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not
yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall
appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.’
(1 John 3:2)

Corinthians 7:7-9
‘And
the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto
Sarah as he had spoken’ (Gen 21:1) God is a covenant keeper,
Jesus said: ‘Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my
words shall not pass away’ (Matt 24:35). In other words,
Jesus was saying that it is easier for heaven and earth, as
large and well established as they are, to be shaken and completely
destroyed, than for God’s words to fail. This is why I
have the unshakable assurance that everything God has promised
me will materialize. God always keeps his promise, no matter
how impossible they may sound. God will fulfill every promise
he has made to you, in Jesus Name. All you have to do is satisfy
every condition he has spelt out for you.
Abraham,
in obedience to God’s requirements, circumcised Isaac.
There are two classes of people in this world: those who are
circumcised and those who are not. Just as physical circumcision
is biologically beneficial to men, so also is spiritual circumcision
of great benefit to the sons of God. If you are a child of God,
you are a son of God irrespective of your gender. ‘Beloved,
now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what
we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall
be like him; for we shall see him as he is’ (1 John 3:2).
Abraham himself was circumcised, and his household (Gen 17:
23-27). If you say you are a child of Abraham, then you must
be circumcised. But this circumcision God is requesting of you
is not physical or outward but that of the heart (Rom 2: 28-29).
You must do the works of Abraham to prove you are of the same
breed. Like father, like son.
The
old man has to die. The self must be crucified. You must be
wholly devoted and consecrated to God, to the point where, like
John the Baptist, you say that Christ must increase and the
self decrease, daily. Circumcision is painful. It will cost
you some sacrifice. You may have to lay all on the altar. You
may have to willingly surrender your will to God and be ready
to be his fool. A circumcised heart is holy, a place where God
can stay. God has no room for the uncircumcised. Go to God today
and ask him to circumcise your heart.
ACTION POINT
Using the 3:30, pray, ‘Lord, let me decrease and Jesus
increase
daily in my life. Lord circumcise my hear.’
