Topic:
Faith’s Testimony
Text: Hebrew 9:11-28
Problems
are forerunners of miracles. When you have a problem, if you are
a true child of God, it means that a testimony is on the way.
If there are no problems, how will you ever have a testimony?
Psalm 4:8 says, “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep:
for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.” Who can
make you dwell in safety? Not the police nor night guards. It
is only God. If He is the One who can make you dwell in safety
and you have handed everything over to Him, I wonder why you should
have to worry again. Psalm 29:11 says, “The Lord will give
strength unto His people; the Lord will bless His people with
peace.” The Lord will bless His people with peace and not
anxiety, worry or fear. If you are one of His people, you should
have your share of that peace. The Prince of Peace says, “Peace
I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth,
give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it
be afraid.” (John 14:27). It is Christ who gives true lasting
peace. If you have given your life to Jesus Christ, there is nothing
to worry about anymore. One way by which the devil can get you
to worry is by telling you that you were such a bad sinner and
that not you cannot escape without some punishment. This is the
lie of the devil. We are already justified by faith. Once you
give your life to Jesus Christ, you are justified. Romans 5:1
says, “Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace
with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” What is the secret
of our peace? Why do we have peace with God? It is not because
we were good in the past. It is because we have surrendered our
lives to Jesus Christ. All your sins were forgiven the day you
gave your life to Jesus Christ. The Bible says: “But now
in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by
the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one,
and hath broken down the middle wall partition between us”
(Ephesians 2:13-14). Jesus Christ is our peace. No matter what
you are going through today, you are assured of the peace of God.
The peace, which Jesus gives, triumphs over the topsy-turvy conditions
of life. My prayer for you is that the peace of God will fill
your heart now and always.
Memory Verse: I Peter 3:15 - “But sanctify the Lord God
in your hearts; and be ready always to give an answer to every
man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is you with meekness
and fear”.
