Topic:The
Ark Of Safety
Text: Luke 17:26-30
Peril!
This is one word, which has been written across the canvass of
many people’s lives. Danger is lurking around the corner.
Risk is imminent. One of these days, Jesus will come unannounced.
He will hit the skies like a thief in the night. Careless souls
will be caught unawares. The greatest peril in life is for Jesus
to come and you be left behind. This applies to those who are
not born-again and Christians who are not ready. If you are ready,
God will preserve you from the days of tribulations.
There
are terrible days ahead. Mighty men will cry in sorrow like a
woman in labour. They will weep bitterly. People will bite their
lips in pain. Some people preach that Christians will go through
tribulation. As far as I am concerned, I am not going through
the tribulation. Jesus Christ Himself said His own will not go
through the tribulations. Before the flood came, during the time
of Noah, God had moved Noah and his family into the ark. After
he had entered the ark, God Himself shut the door before the rain
began to fall. “But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom
it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed…”
(Luke 17:29-30). Before fire fell on Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot had
already gone. Today, God has prepared an ark of safety.
Let
me say this in figurative language: Another flood is around the
corner. This time around, it is going to be a deluge of fire and
brimstone. Get into the ark of safety today and you will escape
the coming judgment.
Memory Verse: I Thessalonians
4:16 - “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with
a shout with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of
God and the dead in Christ shall rise first.” |
