Topic:
Desperate For a Change
Text: II Chronicles 4
You
may not receive miracle until you become desperate for it. Prayer
may be monotonous and dry if you are not earnest about it. When
you are desperate for a miracle you would pray with every strand
of fiber in you. You would cry out until the answer comes. God
can change any situation if you allow Him. He once changed a witch,
Mary Magdalene, into a divine treasurer.
In Mark 5:1-20, He also took a man who was so terribly mad that
he was living in a graveyard and transformed him into an evangelist.
God can repeat this miracle. Always remember that those who are
desperate are always candidates for miracles. When you can no
longer sink lower, there is only one way to go; upward. No matter
your situation, there is always help from above. This
was why David said in Psalms 121:1-2: Í will lift up mine
eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh
from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” Are you aware
of the fact that help comes from the Maker of heaven and earth?
A change will always come for some desperate for a change. Hannah
was desperate. According to I Samuel 1:9-11, she needed a son.
She bagged a miracle.
In II Kings 4:18-37, the Shunamite woman was desperate to see
her son live. Death vomited her baby. The woman whose daughter
was tormented by the devil, in Matthew 15:21-28, was desperate
to get her miracle even though Jesus Christ called her a dog.
The woman with the issue of blood was so desperate to get a miracle
that she stole it from Jesus Christ. She secretly touched the
Lord and received her miracle. We also read of the story of the
widow of the prophet whose sons were to be taken into slavery
by creditors. She was desperate in her search for a miracle. In
one day, she moved from poverty to prosperity. She was determined
to suffer no more.
Are
you satisfied with your present condition? Do you desire a change?
Are you desperate enough to ask God to grant you answers to your
prayers as a matter of urgency? Are you ready to hold on to the
horns of the altar? If you are desperate and decisive God will
send help to you from above.
Memory Verse: James 2:17 - “Even so faith, if it hath not
works, is dead, being alone.
