Topic: Heavenly Treasures
Text: Matthew 19:16-30

God expects every one of us to wisely husband the resources that are graciously given to us. We must use earthly resources to prepare for our heavenly home. The best way to use our resources is to channel them into the work of God. If you have all the money in the world but fail to use it to reach out to lost souls, you are a pauper in heaven’s estimation. One soul is worth more than all the money in the world. The Bible says “Jesus said unto him, if thou with be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.” (Matthew 19:21) You should spend money to win souls. Again, the Bible says, “And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.” II Corinthians 12:15. You must spend and be spent to make sure that your converts get to Heaven. The best way to get abundant blessings in Heaven is not only to spend money and win souls here; you must also make sure that the souls get to heaven. If your converts do not get to heaven, there will be no record of them. You better cling to all your converts. They are your greatest treasures. The number of people you get to Heaven will determine whether you will be part of the overcomers of you will be among the others. Why lay your treasures in Heaven if you are not going there? Why lay treasurers in Heaven, if you are not born again? If you are not born again, do not spend money for God. If you claim to be born again while you are not holy, do not worry about winning souls. Do not worry about giving money to God. Do not worry about laying treasures in Heaven because, without holiness, no man shall see God: If you want God to accept your gift, just give Him your heart before giving Him your gift. Are you laying your treasures in Heaven?

Memory Verse: 2 Corinthians 12:15 - “And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved”.
