Praying Through
Text: II Chronicles 20:1-25
Today,
we shall focus our attention on the secrets of praying through.
To pray through you must know how to attract God’s attention.
The best way to secure God as an ally is by praising Him. Psalm
22:3 says: “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitiest the
praises of Israel.” If you praise God, His glory will come
down. When He comes, miracles will happen. For God to leave His
throne and come to your house, the first thing He will do is to
stand up. When God arises, His enemies will scatter (Ps. 68:1).
Who are the enemies of God? They are your enemies too. When God
arrives, there will be an earthquake (Acts 16:25-26). The greatest
way to get deliverance is through praise. You can get yourself
delivered from any bondage whatsoever if you praise God. If God
pays you a visit, every yoke in your life would be broken. If
you praise Him and direct Him to a particular enemy, that enemy
is finished. Psalm 35:1-3 says: “Plead my cause, O LORD,
with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against
me. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.
Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute
me: say unto my soul, I am thy Salvation.” Many of us wait
until we get into trouble before we pray. This is not wise. Do
not wait until the enemy has beaten you before you begin to ask
for help. If you ask God for help at this time, He will deliver
you. However, you will have gone through some pain. Some of us
may have been praying for a miracle for months and wondering when
the miracle will arrive. If you read Daniel 10, you will find
an interesting story. Daniel prayed and fasted, and from the first
day that he began to pray, God head and sent an angel to give
him the answer. The devil fought for twenty-one days. Daniel persisted
until the answer came. God had to send another angel to deal with
the situation. May be you need two angels to bring your miracle
to you. May be you need to pray a little longer than you have
been praying. Pray until the answer comes. Are you desperate for
a miracle? Then, pray until the miracle comes.
Memory Verse: Psalm22:3 - “But thou art holy, O thou that
inhabitest the praises of Israel.”
