Topic:
Household Curses
Text: I Samuel 2:27-36
To
remain ignorant of the sources of your problems is tragic. Many
are languishing in a sort of spiritual jail without being conscious
of what is happening to them. Whenever it appears as if what you
are going through is mysterious, you might be under the influence
of a curse. Another sign that there might be a curse working is
the prevalence of tragedies, particularly in a family.
In
one case that I know of, in a family of four sisters, three of
them were sent parking from their husband’s homes, each
after the second child was born. The fourth sister discovered
that after having the second child, he husband started behaving
in a funny manner, so she called on Jesus Christ for help. All
is now well with her, even after four children. A Lot of people
often have accidents in a particular day or month of the year.
I know a sister who had domestic accidents on three consecutive
Tuesday until Jesus delivered her from the curse. When things
go bad in a way you cannot explain, a curse may be working against
you. There are many other signs of courses.
For
example, in some families, their women must not eat salt fro some
days after childbirth. I come from this kind of family. Thank
God, Jesus Christ has delivered me. My wife did not stop taking
salt after having the two boys we had after becoming born-again.
Your own case cannot be an exception. “And they shall dwell
safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; they
dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all
those that despise them round about them; and they shall know
that I am the Lord their God” (Ezekiel 28:26). I don’t
have to know exactly what is going on in your family but I know
that the power in the blood of Jesus can set you free from collective
bondage. Although the “angel” of death, destruction,
poverty and calamity may be ravaging your family you will be exempted
in Jesus’ name.
Memory Verse: I Kings 2:27 - “So Solomon thrust out Abiathar
from being priest unto the LORD, that he might fulfill the word
of the LORD, which he spake concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh”.
