Topic:
The Power Of Praise
Text: Psalms 103:1-22
The
Power of praise is so great that it can hardly be explored fully.
Praise jolts God into action; it hastens the release of our miracles
and makes us to become God’s favourites. God cherishes praise.
Many
of us wonder whether there is anything to praise God for. A lot.
But while many praise Him for material things, those who really
appreciate Him praise Him because He is God. Of course, we can
praise Him for being Himself; but we can also thank Him for Jesus,
and thank Him for the Holy Spirit, too. Indeed, we shall always
have something to thank God for when we make Him the main object
of our praise. Nothing else matters if you remember that He is
your praise.
You
must learn how to celebrate God and praise Him with all your heart.
Moreover, you are to fear Him, serve Him, walk in His ways, love
Him and glorify His name. What attitude are you supposed to manifest
when offering praise to Him? Judges 5:2 says: “Praise ye
the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly
offered themselves.” You are also expected to serve Him
and do His will joyfully. Psalms 40:8 says: “I delight to
do thy will, O my God yea, thy law is within my heart.”
Do not serve God grudgingly. Everything you do for God without
joy is a wasted effort.The
Bible says that God loves a cheerful giver (II Corinthians 9:7).
If you do things the way He wants us to, you will be blessed wonderfully.
If you recall His love and mercy, you will praise Him with indescribable
joy.
When
you praise God with joy, you will receive abundantly blessings.
Some of us find joy in serving God because when we look back to
where we are coming from, and from where He rescued us, we discover
that serving Him is the best thing that can happen to us. Today,
you can put the power of praise to use. Praise God and experience
an unprecedented release of divine blessings.
Memory Verse: Psalms 33:1 - “REJOICE
in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.”
