Topic:Pathway
To Peace
Text: Isaiah 48:12-19
God
is the author of peace. Any violation of His word will get you
off the track. The moment a believer sins, he loses his peace.
According to Genesis 3:24, after God drove Adam and Eve out of
the Garden of Eden. He positioned an angel there. This is very
instructive. If an angel has been placed by God to stand in your
way, there is nothing you can do to remove him.
Many
have prayed and fasted, yet the obstacle they seek to remove remains
there. Perhaps you have commanded mountains to move but rather
than move, they become bigger. It might do to find out the cause.
If you are not making progress because God is the One resisting
you, you have to do something about it today.
Those
who put their trust in God have perfect peace. Isaiah 26:3-4 says:
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed
on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD forever:
for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.” When all
is well between you and God and you ask for something, you would
know immediately that the answer will come and you will have peace.
Why
do many of us lack peace? Could it be because of what is written
in Isaiah 48:17-18? “Thus said the LORD, thy Redeemer, the
Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee
to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! Then had thy peace
been a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea.”
There is a difference between hearkening and hearing. If you hearken
you will have peace. Some of us have probably not been listening
to the voice of God. But there is no peace for the wicked, according
to Isaiah 48:22: “There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto
the wicked.”
Concerning
those who have no relationship with the Lord, the Bible says:
“The way of peace they know not.” There is no peace
outside Christ. Why not plant your feet on the pathway of peace
today by giving your life to Christ.
Memory Verse: Isaiah 48:22 - “There is no peace, saith the
LORD, unto the wicked.”
