Topic: Open Heavens
Text: Malachi 3:1-12

There are windows in heaven. These are divine outlets for releasing God’s blessings to the needy. However, it is possible for these windows to be closed. When heaven’s windows are closed, there will be no miracle.

Again, when the windows of heaven are shut, there will be no rain (physical spiritual, financial, etc). When there is no rain, rivers begin to dry up (I Kings 17:1,7). When this happen, it follows that there will be starvation. When a city is besieged with no food allowed in, it is another way of saying the windows of heaven have been shut against that city. I pray that the windows of heaven will not be shut against. When the windows of heaven are opened, rain begins to fall. Each time God opened the windows of heaven in the Scriptures, it was to rain down blessings. The only exception was during the time of Noah when God rained down water to wipe away the sinners.

In Exodus 16:4. God said He would rain down bread from heaven for the children of Israel. Psalms 78:3-25 says that when God opened the windows of heaven He rained down on the children of men the food reserved for angels. He rained down classified blessings, as it were. Spiritual blessings can also be rained down from heaven. Whose report do you wish to believe? The Lord’s or the world’s report? You may choose to believe the report of the economist or the newspaperman. Isaiah 53:5 declare that by His stripes we were healed. This is not the doctor’s report. This is the Lord’s report.

Remember that it does not make sense that the blood shed about 2000 years ago will make us whole. However, it is true. I know that by stripes. I am healed. The Bible says, in Romans 10:8-10: “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto Salvation.” You can open the heavens. Speak the word and your miracle is sure.

Memory Verse: Jeremiah 33:3 - “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
