Joel 1 - 3
Topic:
The Foundation
Text: Matthew 11:28-30
The
Bible clearly teaches that we are into partnership with the Almighty.
The fact of a partnership presupposes that there would be partners.
Partners are not equal in rights. There are seniors and juniors
in a partnership. God is a senior partner. He is the Originator
and Executor of the divine enterprise. He creates all things.
You
can only be equal to Him when you too can create all things! And
for as long as human beings remain incapable of this, He remains
the Head of any business, family, and ministry.
Although when the power of God comes into operation in your ministry
and miracles begin to happen, the tendency or temptation is to
dispense with or diminish the status of the Senior Partner.
This
ultimately leads to destruction because a house that forgets its
foundation will surely crumble. Without the foundation there would
not have been the house. Jesus is the beginning of foundation.
Without Him you and your ministry are nothing. T
he
passage also says that He is the first-born from the dead, the
first-born of God. In all the cultures of the world, the first-born
is given preference. Lot ended up so badly because he did not
let Abraham, his elder, choose first.
Lastly, because God is the Senior Partner, He has the final say.If
God is not allowed to give the final say in your life you will
make grievous mistakes and enter into damnation ultimately.
Memory Verse: Genesis 17:1 - “And
when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to
Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me,
and be thou perfect.”
