Satan’s Strategy
Text: I Kings 22:20-23
Satan
is a cunning strategist. He uses several antics to attack men
and women. The Bible says, “Put on the whole Armour of God,
that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
Eph. 6:11. It is clear, therefore; that there is a devil. This
devil is alive and active, even though we know how to deal with
him. In Job 1:6-7, the Bible says, “Now there was a day
when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD,
and Satan came along with them”. Satan was present at the
gathering of the children of God! Satan can pay you a visit because
he goes to and fro on the whole earth. The devil has wiles. Wiles
mean corrupted wisdom. This is the wisdom by which you get somebody
into trouble. Initially, Satan had divine wisdom. This became
corrupted after the fall. In Ezekiel 28:12, the Bible says Satan
was full of wisdom. In the beginning, the devil had good wisdom,
but it became corrupted when he fell. The attacks of the devil
are not always direct. They may not come from the direction you
expect. When the devil wants to attack, he uses his wiles. He
can use methods you are not even thinking about at all. A good
example is found in Joshua 7:1 and 12. Joshua had been victorious
all the time. Jericho had just been taken and Joshua was beginning
to feel confident. Then the enemy came behind. It entered into
one man who took what God said they should not take. Joshua thought
God was still with him, so he went against a small town called
Ai. The Israelites had to free from this small town. The enemy
had used a new method. It was an indirect attack. David was obedient
to Saul. He behaves himself wisely. He became Commander-in-Chief
of the Armed Forces. Many people loved him but the devil came
in with an indirect attack. David did nothing wrong. The devil
used wiles. He got women together and taught them a son…
Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousand”.
This tuned Saul against David. I counsel you to watch and pray
today. Be alert. Do not be a victim of the devil’s strategy.

Verse: I Peter 1:13 “Wherefore gird up the loins of your
mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be
brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”
