Topic:
All Things are Possible
Text: I Tim. 6:11-16
God raising up a special breed
of Christians. They are champions who believe that all things
are possible. Come rain, come sunshine, they are bent on achieving
their God-given goals. Divine champions are people of rugged determination.
Once they set their minds on certain goals, nothing would make
them change their minds. They pursue the goals relentlessly until
they arrive at their destination. Like Paul, they forget those
things, which are behind, and press forward. You will never find
a champion retreating. A champion is like a river. A river will
always look for a way round any obstruction to get to the ocean.
For example, David decided that not one of the sheep given to
him by his father world get lost. David faced the lion fearlessly
and killed the lion. He was a Divine champion. Many of us have
lost our miracles because we stopped too soon. We are determined
enough. Divine champions never use the word, impossible. Impossibility
is a challenge to a Divine Champion. In my little walk with the
Almighty God, I have had several challenges. The moment you say
something is impossible, I would want to show you that it is possible.
It could take some sweating, fasting and vigils and a little extra
effort. Whatever Divine champions want from God, they get it.
Divine champion are never discouraged. They would not allow relatives
and friends to discourage them. When David asked what would be
done to the person who would take away the reproach on the people
by getting rid of Goliath, he was almost discouraged by His brothers.
He was, however, undaunted. Many of us have lost our miracles
because friends and relatives discouraged us. They say we pray
too much. Divine champions are not discouraged by their leaders.
God have mercy on us Pastors. Many times, we discourage our congregation.
We teach them about faith but when the time comes to exercise
it, we waver ourselves. Divine champions do not put their trust
in leaders. Do not put your trust in any human being. Put your
trust in God. He is the only One who cannot fail.
Memory Verse: I Timothy 6:12 -
“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life,
whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession
before many witnesses. |
