Prov 8 - 11
Topic:
Complete Breakthrough
Text: Proverbs 10:20-23
Today,
we shall examine degrees of breakthrough. Solomon also had an
extra-ordinary breakthrough. He prayed: “Give me now wisdom
and knowledge that I may go out and come in before this people:
for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?” (II
Chronicles 1:10).
God
answered his prayers beyond his wildest imagination - He magnified
him exceedingly. If God could do it for Solomon, He can do it
for you because He is the same yesterday, today and forever more.
Solomon became extremely rich, according to II Chronicles 9:20-27
“And all the drinking vessels of king Solomon were or gold,
and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were
of pure gold, none were silver; it was not any thing accounted
of in the days of Solomon. For the king’s ships went to
Tarshish with the servants of Huram: every three years once came
the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes,
and peacocks. And king Solomon passed all the kings of the earth
in riches and wisdom… And they brought every man his present,
vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and raiment, harness,
and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year. And Solomon
had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots and twelve thousand
horsemen… and he reigned over all the kings from the river
unto the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.
And the king made silver in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar trees
made he as the sycamore trees that are in the low plains in abundance.”
I
wonder how a company of chartered accountants would have valued
the assets of King Solomon. No doubt, they were worth millions
of dollars. Paul also had an exceedingly great breakthrough. He
was supposed to be “chairman” in hell because he persecuted
Christians and did everything he could to destroy the Church of
God but he ended up becoming the greatest of all the Apostles.
He had victory all the way. As you yield to the Lord, receiving
His every instruction, you too will have the breakthrough of a
lifetime.
Memory Verse: John 3:27 - “John answered and said, A man
can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.”
