Ps
43 - 45
Topic:
Safety
Text: Psalms 9:1-7
Safety
is of the Lord (Proverbs 21:31). Only God can protect. We cannot
defeat Satan and his agents with our strength, wisdom or ability.
Satan can even use our strength to destroy us, because he is a
judo expert!
In
Judo, you use the strength of the opponent to floor him. In fact,
in Judo, the motto is, “the bigger they come, the harder
they fall.” Using physical strength against Satan will not
work. Using your wisdom against him will not work either. Satan
is older and more experienced that you. He has been dealing with
giants before you. He has floored people like Gideon, Noah, Lot
and Samson.
Proverbs
28:26 says, “He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool:
but whosoever walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.” The
wisdom that we need is the wisdom of God. This is where holiness
comes in. If you want the protection of the only One who can protect
you, then you must live in such a way that He can abide with you
all the time. How then can you live in such a way as to make God
abide with you all the time? I John 1:5-7 provides the answer:
“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and
declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness
at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in
darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the
light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another,
and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
If we say we have fellowship with God and we walk in darkness,
we are liars.
However,
if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship
with one another and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sins.
God is hundred percent light. In Him there is no trace of darkness
at all. Whoever wishes to fellowship with God must keep this in
mind at all times. Holiness is light, while sin is darkness. Therefore,
if you want to have fellowship with God all the time, you have
to live holy. The moment you experience holiness and begin to
have fellowship with God all the time, you have put on the whole
Armour of God. Then you will experience safety.
Memory Verse: Psalms 91:1 - “He that dwelleth in the secret
place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
